Political Science Volume 1

Upcoming years will see a new generation of teachers and thought come to the fore in political science. About half of the United States' practicing political sciences—the senior scholars of the postwar field–are expected to retire by 2005. The four volumes of Political Science: Looking to the Future examine a wide range of prospects for the discipline's development.

The first volume, The Theory and Practice of Political Science, includes essays by Donald M. Freeman, J. Donald Moon, Terence Ball, Kristen Renwick Monroe, Paul E. Johnson and Philip A. Schrodt, Virginia Sapiro, and Michael C. Dawson and Ernest J. Wilson III.
