The judges of the LA Times Book Prizes have selected Nikky Finney’s latest collection as one of five finalists for the annual prize, one of the poetry world’s most prestigious. Finney’s previous Head Off & Split: Poems won the National Book Award. The winners will be announced on April 16.
Patricia Smith’s Incendiary Art won the same honor in 2018.
